eBook Preparation Instructions

Before using the ePub to PDF tools, you must strip the DRM (Digital Rights Management) from your purchased eBooks. Follow these steps:

  1. Purchase the eBook from Google Play Books or your preferred vendor.
  2. Export the eBook from the seller. It will typically download as an .acsm file.
  3. Open the .acsm file using Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). This will trigger ADE to download the actual .epub file to your machine.
  4. In Adobe Digital Editions, right-click the book in your library and select "Show File in Explorer" (or open folder location).
  5. Import that .epub file into your Calibre library. Note: You must have the DeDRM Plugin installed and configured in Calibre for this to work.
  6. Once imported and decrypted, right-click the book inside Calibre and select "Open containing folder".
  7. You now have a clean, DRM-free .epub file. Upload this file to the ePub to PDF app above to convert it into a native PDF.
